VANHOEVE Benjamin Francois 'Ben' Benjamin Francois 'Ben' Van Hoeve, late of Chilliwack, passed away March 8, 1998 in his 89th year. Ben was born July 9, 1909 in Sas van Gent, Netherlands. He served his country in the Second World War. He was married May 1946 and in December 1948 he and his wife, and young daughter immigrated to Canada. It wasn't long before he found work on a farm in East Chilliwack. His son was bom in July 1949. In 1956 he and his wife purchased their own farm on Camp River Rd. in Rosedale. They farmed until their retirement in 1969. Then they moved to Crescent Dr. in Chilliwack. Service of Remembrance will be held at the chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home, Monday, Mar. 16, 1998 at 2 p.m. Rev. Bob Wallace officiating. Cremation, Valley Crematorium. He is survived by his daughter, Jenny (Ken) Edmondson; son Ben Jr.; two granddaughters, Carrie and Marissa; and one great-granddaughter, great-granddaughter, great-granddaughter, Jessika. He was predeceased by his wife Jantje (Jenny) in November, 1990. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
