Chuck was manager for Amigo Building Supplies Ltd and was an active member of his church as board member and treasurer. He loved reading and working on "Classic" cars from the 50's and 60's. Woodlawn 604-793-4555 SPENCER Deborah (Debbie) Ann Deborah Ann Spencer passed away in the wee hours of Wednesday, May 17th, 2006 at Chilliwack General Hospital after a long SPENCER and courageous struggle with a very formidable disease. Debbie will be remembered as a mother who loved her children profoundly and gave to her friends immeasurably. Debbie was born September 24, 1961 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, moving west to Chilliwack 8 years later. After graduating from Chilliwack Senior Secondary in 1979 Debbie met her late husband Jim with whom she created her two most cherished reasons for being; Son James and daughter Katie.

Joined by Jim's daughter Kristen, they formed a loving blended family. She is also survived by her mother, Virginia Koelzer (Grampa Bern) CHWK, father Leo Baggio (the late Maria) Sydney, NS, brother Leo Baggio (Kimberlee, Jake, Sophia) Kamloops, BC, sister Paula McNeil (Bradley, Adam) Glace Bay, NS and sister in arms, Collette Whalley (Dan, Jennifer, Natalie) Sardis. A prayer service for Debbie will be held at St. Mary's Church in Chilliwack on Friday, May 19th at 6pm and a celebration of Debbie's life will be held at the same venue on Saturday, May 20th at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie's honour can be made to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada more info at www.bcsc.ca.

Dignity' 604-793-4555 Woodlawn STEFFEN Alma (nee Steinwand) Alma was born on July 1st, 1921 in Klostitz, Basserabia and passed away peacefully on May 16th, 2006. She was the oldest daughter of Rudolf and Anna Steinwand. Alma came to Canada in 1927 and settled with her parents in Delia, Alberta. After a few years the family moved to Holden, Alberta where they did mixed farming and Alma was employed at the Holden creamery. Obituaries Myrtle Evans passed away quietly in her sleep in Chilliwack on May 14, 2006 at the age of 89 years.

She was born in Neapolis, Alberta in 1916. Myrtle was raised in the Kooteney area of B.C. and spent most of her life in the Fraser Valley. She worked for a number of years at the Royal City Cannery and Fraser Vale Foods in Chilliwack. Myrtle is survived by her sons; Bernard "Ben" Tolley of Ottawa and Gordon Tolley of Kingston, Ontario and a sister Elsie Neal of Nelson, B.C.

She was predeceased by her three husbands; Raymond Bert Tolley, Nels Heede-Sorensen and Bud Evans and her sister Edna Richards of Vancouver and brother Clarence Johnston of Powell River, B.C.. A service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2006 at 1:00 pm from Henderson's Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Pentland officiating. Donations may be made to the B.C. EVANS Myrtle Heart and Stroke Foundation.

604-792-1344 HENDERSON'S EVANS Victor Allen Victor Allen Evans passed away suddenly and peacefully at home in Harrison Mills, BC, on May 13, 2006. Vic was born in Chilliwack, BC May 5, 1929, to parents Gordon H. Evans and nee, Edna Van Meter, and was raised on the farm of his grandfather, pioneer J. Allen Evans. Vic worked on the family farm and in early 1950's, spent three years in the Canadian Army.

He later was employed by Canadian Forest Products, Harrison Mills, and moved to the area in mid-1970's, residing on Morris Valley Road. Pre-deceased by brothers, John, in 1996 and Owen "Bud" in 2000. Vic is survived by wife, Laura; daughter, Gail Hoogendoorn (Tom); and son, Grant Evans (Anne); sister, Millie Hall; and brother, Eugene (Muriel). Vic is also survived by grandchildren, Ashley and Brandon Hoogendoorn and step-children Susan Speiti, Alana Baumfield, and Karina Broughall. Graveside service was held at LO.O.F.

Cemetery, Chilliwack, at 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 18, 2006. A tea was held at Wellsbrook Clubhouse, Chilliwack. HEBERT Robert Joseph Robert Joseph Hebert passed away in Chilliwack on May 17, 2006 at the age of 70 years. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 10:00 am from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with Father Jim Shepard as Celebrant.

HENDERSON'S 604-792-1344 JARVIS Charles Frederick "Chuck" Charles Frederick Jarvis passed away on May 14, 2006 at Chilliwack Hospital at age 42 years. He was born September 20, 1963 in New Westminster, BC. Chuck is survived by his wife, Elaine; children, Allegra, Christina Belinda and Rebecca his mother, Ruth; father, Don; sisters, Lisa and Janice; his parents in law, Horst and Friedel Studensky, brothers and sisters in In 1964 Alma and her husband Bill moved to Chilliwack. Here she worked for Kel-Tone Cleaners for many years. Her hobbies were crocheting and she was a good seamstress, sewing for her friends.

Alma attended the Central Pentecostal Church until about two years ago when cancer invaded her body. She was predeceased by her father in 1970, her husband in 1974 and her mother in 1993. She is survived by her only sister Toni Thompson and nephew Larry Thompson. She will be missed by many relatives and friends in Alberta. Graveside service will be held at the Chilliwack Cemetery on Wednesday, May 24th, 2006 at 10:00 am with the memorial service following at Henderson's Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Rev.

Ron Daase officiating. I HENDERSON'S 604-792-1344 SUTHERLAND Gertrude Amalia SUTHERLAND Gertrude Sutherland passed away at the Chilliwack General Hospital on May 16, 2006 at the age of 72 years. She born in Eatonia, SUTHERLAND was 604-792-1344 WALDE Tena Tena Walde, born on December 17, 1918 in Siberia, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on May WALDE 12, 2006 after a brief illness, at the age of 87. She is lovingly remembered by her family daughter Doris (Walt) Wiebe, son Rudy (De Vee) Walde, grandchildren Janice (Dave) Fast, Shelly (Gordon) Bartel; Sherry (Phil) Neetz, Brent (Kendee) Walde, great-grandchildren Garrison, Sarah, Nathan, Nicole, Krista, Julia; Christopher, Ryan and Joree. She will also be missed by her sisters Annie (Abe) Reimer and Mary Mantler.

She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Walde, of 65 years, her brother Cork Harder and great granddaughter Katie Marie Bartel. Tena's faith and family were most important to her. She was a lady of many talents. She was Saskatchewan on August 11, 1933 and was a resident of Chilliwack Lifestyles for the past 3 years. Gertrude is survived by her two daughters; Wendy Millward of Calgary, Alberta, Cindy Sutherland of Roberts Creek, B.C.

and her son Bruce (Shannon) Sutherland of Chilliwack, four grandchildren; Rebecca, Juleah, Daniel and Andrew. She is also survived by her sisters Mary, Doreen, Emma, Olga, Helen and Charlotte and her brother Bill as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Interment of cremated remains will take place in The Royal Canadian Legion Cemetery, 10010 Hillcrest at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 26th, 2006 Services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. from St.

Paul's Lutheran Church 8871 School St, Chilliwack, B.C. with Pastor Wayne Lunderby officiating. Donations may be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society. HENDERSON'S 604-792-1344 well organized, she had a quiet calming spirit and she had a strong independence about her. Tena was a beautiful seamstress, earlier teaching sewing classes in Chilliwack.

Throughout the years Tena and Peter also enjoyed their many travels. She loved to bake and cook. The cookies that "Gramma" made will be missed greatly. A memorial service will be held at Broadway Church, 46611 Maple Ave, Chilliwack at 2:00 pm with Pastor Wilf Richert officiating. A reception will follow the service.

Robert leaves behind his wife, WHEATLEY Lois, of 12 years, sister Sylvia (Wayne), his son Rodd (Dana), step-daughter Leslee (Warren) and his grandchildren Roman and Alyssa and many friends and family. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eileen in 1993. Robert had a passion for computers, bowling and anything that could be rewired.

He worked as a master controller for BCTV (Global) for 37 years until his retirement in 1999. There will be no service by request. 11, 2006 Mary Noel Wiebe, age 83, passed away in Grand Forks, BC on February 11, 2006. Advanced Alzheimber's Disease had confined her to care facilities for the past 12 years, most recently Boundary Hospital's Sunshine Manor. Born in New Westminster on December 25, 1922, she was an adventurous spirit who joined the Royal Canadian Navy in the mid1940's, and later enjoyed rural life in various BC locations, including the Cariboo (Canim Lake), the Nicola Valley (Lower and more recently, the Similkameen Valley (Princeton and Olalla). Mary was predeceased by husbands, George J. Wiebe, Arthur Mammel, and Albert L.

Dover. She is survived by daughters MaryLou Rosaduik (Fred), Margaret Dell (Robin), Marcia Heppner (Rick); son, Kelley Dover; as well as grandchildren Tara and Ken Rosadiuk, Brandon and Wyatt McDonald, Robyn, Mandy and Ryley Heppner. Also survived by step-children Larry Wiebe, Anne Nelson, Ricki Lawrence, Bob Mammel, Jeannie Strahl, Wilma Peters, Marian Pottle, Rose Marie Kennedy and their families. No service by request. Her creamated remains will be placed in the great outdoors that she so loved, as part of a family celebration of life.
