curbing and other offences under the Motor Dealer Act includes Chilliwack residents Sergio Civitarese and William Sheremeto. Civitarese was fined $200 and ordered to pay $350 restitution in March under the act for misleading a consumer. And in July, Sheremeto was fined $250 for curbing. The lists have been circulated at consumer operations branches, allowing prospective buyers to "determine if the seller has recently been convicted of curbing or some other Donnelly has split his time between training and a series of meetings aimed at raising money and seeking donations of supplies to cover the cost of the trip and to build the fund that will go toward river work in the future. "The way things are going is very encouraging," he told a Thursday meeting of his support team.

Earlier, he had likened growing support for the Swim to Life to a small tidal wave that had grown from "one person who started, a couple of months ago, just poking around." Donnelly has designated each of the 20 days of actual swimming as either short (eight hours), medium (nine), long (10) or very long (12 hours). There is one very long section from Seeback Creek to Prince George in north-central B.C. As well, there will be long days on the river through much of the Interior, as Donnelly swims south from Quesnel to the beginning of the Fraser Canyon in Lytton over six days. From the time he reaches Spuzzum, scheduled for Sept. 20, Donnelly will be swimming "short" eight-hour days with plans for overnight stops in Hope (Sept.

21), By Mark Hamilton MetroValley Reporter Fin Donnelly has laid out the schedule for his three-week Swim for Life of the Fraser River and the numbers come in like this: 20 days of swimming, over 21 days, with a total estimated time in the water of 184 hours. That's equal to 7.6 days. If all goes according to schedule, marathon swimmer Fin Donnelly will arrive in Chilliwack Sept. 22 as he prepares for the final push to the mouth of the Fraser River. Donnelly is the Coquitlam marathon swimmer who will slip into the Fraser at 8 a.m.

Sept. 4 at Tete Jaune Cache and set out for the B.C. coast, more than 1,300 kilometres of river away. He's doing it to raise awareness of the importance of the river to the province and to raise funds for groups working to enhance and preserve the Fraser. On an average day, Donnelly will spend nine hours in the water two four to four-and-one-half hour shifts split by a brief lunch break before setting up camp on the river shore each night.

Over the past two weeks, offence," Smallwood said. The minister urged registered dealers to help put a stop to practices that help curbers. Some dealers use curbers as a source of used vehicles or sell lower-quality vehicles to unregistered dealers to move the cars off their lots. Smallwood also challenged legitimate dealers to raise public awareness about the safeguards consumers have when they buy from licensed businesses. "Registered motor dealers are re Chilliwack (Sept.

22) and Coquitlam (Sept. 23) before his arrival at the mouth of the Fraser on Sept. 24, which is B.C. Rivers Day. Funeral Home 45865 Hocking Avenue Chilliwack, B.C.
