IRVINE Frances Lily Frances Lily 'Lil' Irvine passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2002 at Valley Haven Guest Home in Chilliwack, at the age of 90 years. She was born December 13, 1911 in England. Lil is survived by her daughter Joan (Garry); granddaughter Michelle; grandson T.J. (Jen); and her survived great-grandchildren.

She is also by one sister Elsie; friends Rose and Carol; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband James; brothers, Frank and Arthur; and sister Louise. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002 at 11 a.m. from Woodlawn Mt.

Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Chilliwack, Rev. Kevin Longuard officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby. If desired, donations in memory of Lil may be made to a charity of your choice. Woodlawn 604-793-4555 NACHTIGAL George H.

NACHTIGAL George H. Nachtigal late of Chilliwack, passed away November at home 24, 2002 in his 78th year. He was predeceased by his par- NACHTIGAL ents, Peter and Maria Nachtigal; and brother Erwin. George is survived by Betty, his wife of 45 years; son Ken (Phyllis) of Sardis; daughters, Leanne (Perry) Wendt of Langley, Mae (Roy) Friesen of Cincinnati, and Cheryl (Jeff) DiMarco of Williams Lake; and nine grandchildren. He also leaves behind siblings, Gertrude Kroeker of Kelowna, Art (Helen) of Tsawwassen, and Annelur (Alfred) Heinrichs of Kitchener, Ont.

Mr. Nachtigal was a teacher of mathematics in the Chilliwack School District for over 30 years, and was an active member of the Eden Mennonite Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 at 11 a.m. from Eden Mennonite Church on Chilliwack Central with Rev.

Rob Brown officiating. A 10 a.m. graveside service will be held beforehand. Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002 from 7-9 p.m.

at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Chilliwack. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family wishes to thank Fraser Cheam Home Support, Home Care nurses, Dr. Basson, and Dr. Ross for their excellent service and care.

Alliance PEDE, Elsie Elsie Pede passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002 at 78 years of Woodlawn 604-793-4555 age. She was predeceased by Gordon Pede; father Herbert Davis; mothPEDE er Laura Davis; brother Herbie Davis; brother Alan Davis; and great-grandson Kyle Dergo. She is survived by her children, Ellen (Henry) Chretien, Evelyn (Terry) Houston, Kenneth (Arlene) Pede, Scott (Rosemary) Pede, Lesley (Ray) Dussault, and George (Pegg) Pede; brother George Davis; sisters, Florence Burdett, Lillian (Jerry) Gerome, and Jean Holmes; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Irene (Stan) Normand; brother-in-law Jim Pede; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. Elsie was born on January 26, 1924 in Coldwell, Man.

Both parents came from England and settled in Manitoba. She had many jobs including Zellers, head of Army and Navy fishing department, and CX1 Correctional Officer at the Federal Women's Prison at Matsqui. She loved her family and many friends and always looked forward to their visits. Funeral service will be held at Henderson's Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov.

Born in the southern Manitoba village of Rosenbach to Heinrich and Anna (Krahn) Bornn, he grew up and received his early schooling in that rural community. In 1945 he married his sweetheart Esther Brandt. He furthered his education at MBBC (Winnipeg), Tabor College (Kansas), and received his teaching degree from Emporia State Teachers' College (Kansas). He developed a love for teaching and his passion for teaching, preaching, and overseas missions took him his family to Paraguay, Brazil, Ecuador, and Austria. Henry was president of Columbia Bible College for five years, taught at Trinity Western University and pastored a number of churches in B.C.

and Kansas. During his retirement he was chairman of the Abbotsford Ministerial for six years. Besides teaching, Henry's interests included softball, collecting stamps, woodcarving, photography, and birdwatching. He enjoyed music and playing with his much-loved grandchildren. Henry is survived and will be lovingly remembered by Esther, his wife of 57 years; three daugh- November 28, 2002 from p.m.

at Woodlawn Funeral Home. There will be a private graveside service. A Celebration of Henry's Life will be at Bakerview M.B. Church on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in honour of Henry C. Born may be made to M.B. Missions. Woodlawn 604-793-4555 HAYTHORNE Gordon David The family of Gord Haythorne are saddened to announce his sudden death on November 21, 2002 at Chilliwack. Predeceased by his parents, Richard and Margaret.

He is survived by his sister Ann Goudswaard (Ken); and nephews, Caleb, Myles, and Spencer. Born in Edmonton, Alta. on September 10, 1963, Gord spent most of his life in Chilliwack. He will be remembered as a talented woodworker and avid golfer. He enjoyed fishing and boating.

For the past several years he worked as a pool and spa technician for J. Adams and Sons in Chilliwack. Gord will be remembered by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held at the Chilliwack United Church on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 at 2 p.m.

There will be a public viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment at Oddfellows Cemetery, followed by a tea in the United Church Hall. Should family and friends so desire, donations in Gord's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon.
