A6 THE CHILLIWACK PROGRESS, Tuesday, December 10, 1996 Mimsirnt (0 Eva Tremblay and devoted children, son Charlie Tremblay of Vancouver, and daughter Gail Sward of Chilliwack. He is also survived by his sister Germaine of Quebec; son-in-law Steve Sward; and grandson Daniel; Charlie's girlfriend Marianne Esplin; and honorary grandchildren Casey and Trevor Gemma. A special thank you to friends for all of your love and support. He was predeceased by his father Joseph; mother Adrienne; and three brothers: Clement, Raymond and Claude. Heart and Stroke Foundation. City, Quebec and had lived in the area for 25 years. He retired from the military in 1973 after 26 years of service, then retired from Correctional Services, Mountain Prison in 1988. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed building models for his grandson. Will miss taking his faithful companion "Pepper" for her daily walk through the fairgrounds.

Service of Remembrance was held Friday, Dec. 6, 1996 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home. Major Angus Hag-garty officiated. Honor Guard by Korean Veteran's Association.

He is survived by his loving wife and Olga (John) Heuchert and Ida: two brothers: Arnold and Fred Becker. As requested by Frieda, immediate cremation with no service has taken place. 1-800-828-6887. LINDHOUT Cornelia On Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996 at her residue in Chilliwack, B.C., Mrs. Cornelia Lindhout passed away at the age of 58 years. She was predeceased by her mother Neeltje Traas and one son Ken.

Cornelia is survived by her father Adriaan Traas; loving husband Jack; five children: Dorothy (Win) Den Boer and their children, John, Jody, Bradley, Melinda, Corina and Russell; Diane (Pete) Neels and their children Tara, Danny, Nicholas, Trevor, Dennis and Andrew; Jeff (Mary) Lindhout and their children Marty and Anita; Randy (Pauline) Lindhout and their children James and Evalynn; and Robert Lindhout; daughter-in-law Yvonne Lindhout and children Luke and Mikayla. Also surviving are two brothers, three sisters and their families; four brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law, and many relatives in Holland. Funeral service was held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 1996 at 1 p.m. from the Reformed Congregation in North America, corner of Gibson and Yale, Chilliwack, with Elder Steven Van Den Brink officiating.

Sunday School Your Guide To The Best In Home Improvements BATTY Edward George (Ted) Late of Chilliwack, B.C., formerly of Richmond, Surrey, and England, passed away Friday, Dec. 6 in Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 83. Was born in 1913 in Lahore, India where he lived until the age of six. At the age of 18 Ted left the National Children's Home in Hampshire, England to join the 1 1th Hussar as a band boy.

He served in the Middle East until 1943 when he was invalided to England. After the war Ted joined the Life Guard Band in London, England. In 1954 he came to Chilliwack and served with the RCE Band until his retirement in 1962. Ted was a member of Carman United Church where he sang in the choir for 37 years. Ted belonged to the Chilliwack Kiwanis Club and the St.

George's Society of Chilliwack. Since his retirement, Ted has had great pleasure in caring for his home and garden. Ted did volunteer work at the Red Cross looking after the sick-room equipment. Ted and his wife, Joy, loved hiking and cycling. A memorial service will be held at Carman United Church, Sardis, B.C., on Wednesday, Dec.

1 1 at 8 p.m., Rev. Stan Bailey officiating, assisted by Rev. Art Anderson. Interment to follow at IOOF Cemetery, cremation Chilliwack. Ted is survived by his loving wife Joy whom he married August 1958; his godson Jeff (Janet) Johnston of Calgary, AB; brothers-in-law Dr.

Jack (Helen) Dickout of Victoria, Leslie (Ruth) Dickout of Brace-bridge, ON, and Quentin (Merva) Dickout) of Sardis; sister-in-law Shirley (Sterling) Bathgate of Westbank; eight nieces and 17 great-nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents when he was a young boy. CALDWELL Margaret Mary Passed away peacefully Nov. 3, 1 996 in Williams Lake. Born Oct. 1 6, 1924 in Areola, Saskatchewan, Marg lived in Chilliwack for 32 years before retiring to Chimney Lake. She is survived by her husband, Bob, of 50 years; four children: Judy Jefferies, Donna (Don) Kozak, Art (Tina) Caldwell, and Neil Caldwell; seven grand-children Blair Jefferies, Lee Jefferies, Cindy Kozak, Karry (Gord) Fedoruk Kozak, BeeJay Kozak, Danny Caldwell, and Michelle Caldwell; and one greatgrandchild, Lauren Kozak.

Marg was employed as a ship-to-shore operator, bus station manager. Country Gardens florist, and a Chilliwack taxi and ambulance dispatcher. She was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 4, was on the executive of Chilliwack Minor Hockey, CNIB and coached Softball. Memorial service was held Nov. 8 at Gregory's Funeral Home, Williams Lake, B.C.

DYBLE William (Bill) Bill Dyble passed away on December 4, 1996, B.C. at age 92, Mr. William (Bill) Dyble late of Sardis. Service for the late Bill Dyble will be held on Saturday, December 7, 1996 at 11 a.m. from Carman United Church with Rev.

Stan Bailey officiating. 7258 Vedder Road, Interment to follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery on Little Mountain. Bill was a farmer for over 60 years, mostly dairy. His interests included Lodge Work, cards and horse plowing. He was a member of Excelsior Lodge 7 Oddfellows and Ruth-Rebekahs, Patriarchs Militant Grand Lodge of B.C., Chilliwack Plowing Society and Carman United Church.

He was born October 4, 1904 in Rutham, England. He is survived by four daughters Louise, Marie (Eugene), June (Ron), Doreen (Gord) and one son Les (Laurelli); 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Jim (Cora) Tom (Eva) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen in 1990, two brothers Robert and Wilfred, three sisters-in-law, one son-in-law. Eulogy will be read by daughter June Hendrickson. Noble Grands of Excelsior Lodge 7 Oddfellows and Rebekahs requests all members to attend.

GRAHAM Alma Grace Alma Grace Graham, late of Chilliwack, B.C., passed away Dec. 7, 1996 in Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 85 years.

She was born June 24, 1911 in Ft. Frances, Ontario and had lived in this area since 1956. She was a retired R.N., a member of Carman United Church, Ruth Rebekah Lodge 4 and honorary member of Sardis O.A.P. -Branch 173. Funeral service will be held Friday, Dec.

13, 1996 at 2 p.m. at Carman United Church, Rev. Stan Bailey officiating, interment in Carman Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Alex Graham; step-daughter Deirdre (Donald) Frazer of Victoria; step-son Bruce (Maria) Graham of Chilliwack; four grandchildren; brother Nelson (Joy) Gadd of Ottawa; two sisters-in-law Ethel McLeod and Icel (Gordon) Carter and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by brothers Lyle, Charles and Jim.
