Cremation, Valley Crematorium. ALLEN, Frank George Late of Chilliwack, passed away June 1, 1993. Funeral Service was held Friday, June 4, 1993 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home, Chilliwack. Interment, Oddfellows Cemetery.

I "People Helping People" incapacitated by cancer and his wonderful talent with woodworking; his truly great sense of humor, his ability to laugh despite all the sad trials and pains he went through and the making of others laugh through his humorous quips and one liners. But, even better than that, Jim never once, to our knowledge, found fault with his God for his sufferings or doubted His existence even though he met up with much hardship, grief and pain. Our dear Jim oh that our love could have been greater and more effectual; but for his part, all those who did love him were the greater enriched for it memories now to treasure. Jim's spirit has now been returned to God who gave it thanks dear God and may You give it back yet once again in the splendor of health forever more. Our dear Jim, how we will miss you til that time.

Jim is survived by his Mother, Mary Bahris, of Abbotsford; his brothers: Mike and family of Abbotsford; Joe and family of San Leandro, and Nathan and family of Arizona; his sister, Camie and husband, Ron LaRose of Abbotsford; his children: Kelly and family of Vernon; Vicki and family of Vernon and Kelvin and family of Abbotsford. SHAW many visitors. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, tatting and many handicrafts. She was an avid traveller and camper. John and Anna ran the Ranch until 1961 when she was predeceased by John.

She moved in 1962 to the Sardis area. Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 14, 1993 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home, Pastor Gerhard Preibisch officiating. Cremation at Valley Crematorium. She is survived by four daughters: Betty Jean (Stan) Bulloch of Kamloops; Phyllis (Gordon) Burns of Chilliwack; Donna (Gordon) Erickson of Coqu.itlam; Anna Watkins of Sardis; two step-sons: Harold (Lil) Pollard of Clinton; Thomas (Betty) Pollard of Agassiz; 15 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Pollard in 1961 also by her brothers and sisters. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Chilliwack General Hospital Memorial Fund. We feel so deeply the loss of such a special and loving individual words cannot express but we do want to say something. Jim Bahris was a morally upright man, a hardworking, kind, talented and caring person. Our only peace comes in knowing that Jim knew his REAL family (Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters, brother-in-law and his many friends) loved him dearly and would have done anything for him. We miss you and are so sorry for all your pain. You will never really be away from us ever.

Our dear Jim's epitaph would be incomplete were we not to mention his dignified drive to financially help support himself even while so very 45901 VICTORIA CHILLIWACK -79M344 HOPE AGASSIZ ZENITH 7255 'L, BENJAMIN JOHN (BEN) HALVORSON Benjamin John (Ben) Halvorson, late of Rosedale, passed away suddenly on June 2, 1993 in Royal Columbian Hospital, age 38. He was born July 7, 1954 in Chilliwack, B.C. He had lived in this area all his life. Ben enjoyed hunting and windsurfing. Funeral Service was held Monday, June 7, 1993 at 1:00 p.m.

at Pentecostal Tabernacle, Chilliwack, Pastors Dan Dyck and Ward Rowan officiating. Interment at Oddfellows Cemetery. Casket bearers: Brian Armstrong, Danny Marks, Ed Neumann, Nigel Casson, Russell Victor, John Brown. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Naomi; his three children: Christie, Becky and Joshua; mother, Tina Halvorson; brother, Ervin (Elsie) Halvorson, Chilliwack; and their three children. Ben was predeceased by his father, Arthur Halvorson.

14, 1903 in Joyce, Iowa. She had lived in this area since 1962. Anna and her husband took over the ranch that was settled by Grandfather in the mid 1800's, they operated it as an active Cattle Ranch and the Pollards 3-Bar Guest Ranch. He was born Dec.

6, 1917 in Sardis, B.C. He had lived in this area for 75 years. Descendant of founding family of Ft. Langley and Ft. Yale.

Grandfather was Jason Allard, Founder of Ft. Langley and Ft. Yale. Served with Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War. In his younger day he was involved' in soccer and lacrosse.

Enjoyed fishing and watching sports, especially hockey. No Service at request of deceased. Cremation at Valley Crematorium. He is survived by sister, Mrs. Delavina Kelly of Sardis; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers: Jack, Henry and Wilfred; and sister, Alice. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. EMILIE PRACHNAU Emilie Prachnau, late of Chilliwack, formerly of Manitoba and Russia, died peacefully on June 3, 1993 in Chilliwack, age 85. She was born Dec.

16, 1907 in Terek, Kameschlak, Russia. She had lived in this area for 63 years. Emilie belonged to the Chilliwack Home League. She enjoyed crocheting and entertaining her family. After their retirement they travelled extensively.

Emilie was very devoted to her family. Funeral Service was held Monday, June 7, 1993 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home, Rev. J.T. Horricks officiating.

Interment at Greendale Cemetery. Casket bearers: Wallace Prachnau, Bill Prachnau, Bob Prachnau, Jim Prachnau, Dave Prachnau, Ed Prachnau. Honourary bearers: Vic Evans, Bill Iley. Emilie is survived by her six sons: Wallace Prachnau, Chilliwack; Bill (Hilde) Prachnau, Port McNeil; Bob (Betty) Prachnau, Sardis; Jim (Shirley) Prachnau, Chilliwack; Dave Prachnau, Sardis; Ed (Erna) Prachnau, Sardis; two daughters: Laura (Vic) Evans, Harrison Mills; Vera (Bill) Iley, White Rock; 21 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John Peter in 1981; son, John in 1949; her infant son, Peter in 1929.

on Jan. 22, 1921 and grew up in Brandon, Man. and district. He worked in Brandon as a messenger for the Bank of Montreal until 1967 when he moved with his family to Chilliwack. He worked here for City Hall Texaco, Sumas Paving, and then as the caretaker at the Post Office building for 14 years, retiring in 1986, Expo year.

Ray enjoyed driving and working on his Studebakers, travelling and going for coffee with his friends, especially Al. He was predeceased by his wife of 30 years, Edna. Ray is survived by his daughter, Doreen of Chilliwack; his two sisters: Verna (Bill) Nelson of Moose Jaw, and Jean Halliday of Brandon, and by his special friend, Joan and her daughter, Pat. He will also be sadly missed by good friends such as Mike, Theresa and the Sedgwicks. ALICE ABBEY Alice Abbey, late of Chilliwack, passed away June 3, 1993 in Chilliwack, age 67.

She was born Jan. 25, 1926 in Chilliwack, B.C. She had lived in this area all her life. Alice was a very kind and loving person. Even during her illness she was always concerned about the health and well being of others.

At her request no service was held, a Memorial Gathering was held on Sunday, June 6, 1993 at the Abbey residence. Cremation at Valley Crematorium. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Roy; brother, Joe Chung, Chilliwack; brother, Harry (Arlene) Chung, sister, Evelyn (John) Leong, Lethbridge, Eileen Lai, Vancouver; brother, Charley (Grace) Chung, Sardis; sister, Dorothy (Richard) Kostrzewa; also numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Walter Chung; her parents: Shee and Bing Chung. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Chilliwack General Hospital.
