Skalicky also slugged a two-run double in the same inning. Galley was in the circle and came away with 11 strikeouts, while walking only two batters. Pow was in the circle for a disappointing 1-0 loss to Victoria to conclude the round-robin portion of the tournament. Pow and Jacob of Victoria gave up four hits each, but a first-inning error (the only one committed by either team) gave Victoria the only run it needed. After the first, only three more batters reached base against Pow, who struck out five and walked one.

Brian Dawson tried to spark the Chilliwack offence, going two-for-three in the game. As well as playing the best ball on the field the team drew "rave reviews" from the umpires, Summer Games officials and fans for their behavior both on and off the playing field, a team spokesman said. The team was further honored by having its team picture chosen as part of the Summer Games archives. Members of the teams included Chris Charles, Brian Dawson, Jeff Galley, Brad Johnston, Dennis Klassen, Don Loewen, Jerry Lund, Blake Pow, Lance Price, Kevin Skalicky, Chuck Stade and Jason Willmets. The team was coached by Don Klaassen, Ed Dawson, Norm Johnston and Jerry Lund.
