THE CHILLIWACK PROGRESS, Wednesday, October 13, 1982 9A OBITUARIES WILLIAM A. "BILL" COOK William A. "Bill" Cook of 45404 Bernard Ave. died Oct. 5 at Chilliwack General Hospital.

At the request of Mr. Cook a service was not held. Cremation was at Victory Memorial Park Crematorium, Surrey. He was born April 5, 1928 in St. Helens, England and lived in Chilliwack 25 years.

He was a sales representative for Christie-Brown Co. and a former member of Meadowlands Golf and Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Annabelle; one daughter, Valerie Cook of Vancouver; three stepsons, Guy Reichelt of Vancouver, Drew and Mark Reichelt both of Chilliwack; sister, Jean Nachbar of Vancouver; brother, Joe Cook of Van- couver. AILEEN PICARD Aileen Picard of 201- 46316 Margaret died Oct. 5 at General Hospital.

Prayers were said Oct. 11 and Requiem Mass was celebrated Oct. 12 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Ron Thompson officiated.

Henderson's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Sid Rogers, Phil Duseult, Bill Lolacher, Omer Devlin, Phil Beldam and Ed Rieder. She was born July 15, 1934 at Assiniboia, and lived in Chilliwack 34 years and was a housewife at home.

She is survived by three sons, Roma of Vancouver, Noel and Rene both of Chilliwack; sister, Adeline Fay of Regina, two brothers, Arnold Feesel of Watrous, and Ray Feesel of Regina; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henri on July 24, 1982. SUZANNE RYDER Suzanne Ryder of 971 Fraser Hope died Oct. 5 at Fraser Canyon Hospital. Requiem Mass was celebrated Oct.

8 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. Father Kearney officiated. Burial was at Our Lady of Good Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers were Douglas Dunham, Stanley and Vincent Ryder, Samuel Blackburn, Peter Lindley and John Nicholson Jr. Henderson's Chilliwack Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 20, 1880 in Hope and lived her entire life in the area. A member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, she was a member of the Altar Society then called CWL. She was also a member of the Hope Women's Institute and a former Red Cross member. She is survived by three daughters, Bea Appleby and Irene Gutierrez, both of Hope, and Anne Lindley of Chilliwack; and two sons, George of Hope and Roland of Victoria. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel in 1959 and three children.

DENA JONES Dena Jones of 9864 Barber Dr. died Oct. 10 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Memorial Funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 16 in the chapel of Bowker Funeral Home of Ponoka, Alta.

Clergy of the United Church in Ponoka will officiate. Cremation will be at Victory Memorial Park Crematoriam, Surrey. Henderson's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She was born July 6, 1905 in Marion, Nebraska. Formerly of Ponoka, she lived in Chilliwack 16 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Mrs. John) Oberst of Chilliwack; four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Vern Ward of Abbotsford and Lyle Ward of Ponoka, sister, Ethel Innis of Bentley, Alta. WILLIAM MANTLER William Mantler of 9523 Menzies St. died Oct. 9 at St.

Paul's Hospital, Vancouver. Funeral service will be held Oct. 14 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home. Rev.

Henry Roderick will officiate. Burial will be at the Anglican Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mel Meissner, Robbie Morris, Jerry Brown, John Mantler, Ken Jerome and Frank Champlin. Honorary bearers will be Hale Ramsay, Tom Anderson, Clarence Baxter and Hart Buhler. He was born March 20, 1926 at Warman, Sask.

Formerly of Victoria he lived in the Chilliwack area five years and was a salesman with Cherry Ford. A member of Masonic Lodge No. 1 Victoria, he was a Red Cross blood donor, past member of the Chilliwack Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Auxiliary Police Force in Victoria for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Beverly (Mrs. Ruthven of Chilliwack and Barbara (Mrs.

Bartlett of Victoria; one brother, John of Sardis; and his parents, Peter and Mary Mantler of Chilliwack. MARTHA HINKEL Martha Hinkel of 9324 Charles St. died Oct. 8 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Funeral service was held today at Zion Evangelical Church.

Pastors Dave Hooper and Rick Kopanke officiated. Burial was at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pallbearers were Albert and Henry Hinkel, Ron Schmidt, Henry Pranke, Randy Rauch and Laverne Dyck. She was born April 27, 1899 at Tomashaw, Poland and lived in the Chilliwack area 25 years. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Church.
