University Club Hears Speaker On Literature The Women's University club of Chilliwack held it's final meeting of the season following dinner at the Emnress hotel Wednesday night, Miss Marjorie Evans presiding. Philip Penner spoke on "the literature of despair." Mr. Penner said that great literature is a revelation of life, and also at times, an escape from life. He felt that writers, though realists, should paint a two fold picture life as it is and life as it ought to be, providing inspiration and reminding people of facts that are abidingly true. Contributing to the evening's program were Miss Elaine Fleming with piano selections and Carl Lindenbach in vocal solos.

The president introduced members of the new executive as follows: president. Miss Doreen Freeman; vice-president, Mrs. J. M. Johnston; secretary, Mrs.
