PRAISE RALLY Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. "Family Night" Youth Service special meetings will close Sunday with services at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Rev. Muxworthy was born and educated in Canada, began his ministry here and then spent several years pastoring in California before returning to pastor in both Calgary and Toronto.

He was appointed to the position of district superintendent for B.C. a year ago. Already his insight and progressive spirit have proved a real benefit in the advancement of the churches in B.C., Morrell stated. superintendent for the Canadian Pacific District of the Church of the Nazarene. These meetings are designed for the spiritual growth of all Christians, as well as affording an opportunity to others to meet Jesus Christ in a very personal way.

Time for these services will be 7 p.m. nightly, and everyone is welcome to attend. There will be special music nightly, but Saturday will be a "mostly musical" night featuring Al Willms, an accomplished pianist and vocalist from the Ab-botsford area. The March has been designated as a month for simultaneous revival throughout the Church of the Nazarene denomination. Revivals are happening all around the world as the church now works in more than 60 world areas.

Special services are planned from Wednesday (this evening) through Sunday at the Church of the Nazarene at 9340 Windsor Street, Chilliwack. Pastor Eugene Morrell said the special guest speaker will be Rev. Charles Muxworthy of Burnaby, district -tfQsy 1 Corner First Ave. Charles St. Christian peace officers to meet WHY DO WE DO IT? The area that is now the Province of British Columbia was once two separate colonies, that of Vancouver Island formed in 1849 and the mainland originally known as New Caledonia which in 1858 was proclaimed the Colony of British Columbia.

In August, 1866, the two colonies were united under the name of British Columbia and eventually joined the Dominion of Canada on the 20th of July, 1871. This includes office staff, police officers, prison guards and parole officers as well as sheriff's department's officers. More information is available from Ed Dalton, co-ordinator, Fraser Valley Chapter FCPO, telephone The fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO) will hold a regular meeting on Monday (March 21) at 7 p.m. at the Vedder Christian Assembly, opposite CFB Chilliwack. Guest speaker will be Rev.

Harley Goodwin, who has a full time prison ministry both in the U.S. and Canada. FCPO meetings are open to anyone working full-time with the provincial or federal solicitor general's department. Funeral service could be simpler. In many countries, as a matter of fact, it's a brief and meaningless disposal provided by the state.

In Canada, we believe that the lives of individuals are important and that the end of life calls for an act of honor and respect. Marie Wiebe former president of Chilliwack Aglow and member of the first executive board, gave the prayer of thanksgiving for the luncheon following the meeting. An anniversary cake, decorated with the Aglow insignia, was served. The next meeting of Morning Aglow will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 9:30 a.m. at the Chilliwack United Church hall.

Guest speaker then will be Joan James, a well-known speaker in Christian circles with a ministry in inner healing and author of the book "Make Me Whole." James conducts seminars on inner healing of the whole person. All Aglow meetings are open to the public; ladies are invited to come and share the blessing of the Lord. Aglow is interdenominational. For further information, please call Rose at 858-3071. CRISIS LINE 792-7242 was welcomed back to Chilliwack.

She had spoken at the very first meeting of Aglow and related many details that she remembered from that day of beginnings. Her message was on the faithfulness of God. Sharing personal experiences encountered in her life as a pastor's wife and mother, she told the ladies that God gives us the strength to carry on through the trials of life. "I learned," she said, "that the joy of the Lord is my stength and that when I completely trust my life to His care, I become more than a conqueror over the circumstances." She said, a Christian life contains no fewer pains and heartbreaks than the non-Christian, but the difference is in the way we go through the situation. "God has promised in His Word, the Bible, that He is with us always and His presence within us gives a peace that does not rely on the circumstances around us.

The absolute faithfulness of God gives us peace during the conflict, the pain and the heartache," Wilson said. She encouraged the ladies to believe in the faithfulness of God which Women's Aglow Fellowship celebrated its 10th anniversary on March 1 as president Hilda Vogt presided over the meeting held in the Chilliwack United Church hall. Natalie Stasiuk, vice-president of the Aglow National Board of Canada and first president of the Chilliwack chapter in 1973, briefly reminisced on Aglow's beginnings. Chilliwack was the second chapter formed, after New Westminster. Stasiuk spoke of the many changes experienced over the years, in membership, ministries and Christian maturity and compared these with the unchanging nature of God how He; is the same today as He was yesterday and will be tomorrow.

Battle Hymn of the Republic" was the hymn chosen by soloist Lorraine Clayton. She reflected on the words "Our God is Marching On" and they were appropriate for the occasion. At the first meeting in March, 1973, Clayton sang the song "Let's Just Praise the Lord," the phrase chosen for the theme of this 10th anniversary meeting.
