11:15 a.m.-Morning Worship. Reeves-Hunt Rites Performed At St. Paul's Simple dignity marked the wedding solemnized in St. Paul's Lutheran church, Saturday evening when Mrs. Helen Emma Hunt, daughter, of Mrs.

F. E. Mr. Hale, became the bride of Hale, in Chilliwack and the late Ernest D. Reeves, son of the late Mr.

and Mrs. Ernest W. Reeves, Tokenham, England. Easter lilies flanked the altar for the marriage ceremony which was performed by the Rev. H.

S. Fox. A waltz-length Alice blue gown of silk, with Dresden design in gold, was worn by the bride. Her small-flowered hat harmonized with accessories which were in jasmine tone. Lily-of-thevalley was worn en corsage.

The bride's only attendant was her daughter, Mrs. Henry Giesbrecht while Mr. Giesbrecht was the groom's best man. The bride was given in riage by her son, James Hunt, Ladner, and the ushers were Roy and Stanley Stark. Following a brief honey-moon at the coast, Mr.

and Mrs. Reeves will reside at 510 Williams road north. Baby Shower Gifts Presented In Buggy A buggy decorated with pink and blue crepe paper, held the gifts when a baby shower honored Mrs. Douglas Fraser at the home of Mrs. C.

W. Johnson, 326 Gibson road, March 27. Completing the baby theme was a big stork on top of the buggy, holding a doll in a blanket. The buggy was wheeled in by two little girls, June Wells and Diane Missett. Attending the occasion were Mrs.

Vows Exchanged Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wall -Norman Studios Photo At United Mennonite Church Selma Klassen Becomes Bride Of Peter Wall An Easter-time wedding took place in the United Mennonite church, Prest road, Monday evening when vows were exchanged between Miss Selma Klassen and Peter Rev. A.

A. Harder performed the ring marriage ceremony the youngest daughter double of Mr. Mrs. Frank P. Klassen, 449 Chilliwack Central road and the youngest son of Mr.

and Mrs. Peter J. Wall, 403 Camp River road. Miss Helen Wiebe was the bridesmaid and David Isaac, the best man. John Peters and William Wedler were the ushers.

Miss Frieda Goertzen played the wedding music with Miss Dorothy Bergman singing "I'll Walk Beside You" during the signing of the register. Lace and net over satin created the bride's gown. The form-fitting bodice was enhanced by a jacket of matching lace, styled with long sleeves and small jeweled collar. The bouffant skirt of shimmering satin was shadowed in lace to finger-tip length and then to floor-length in ruffles of net. A chapel veil of illusion net misted from a net head-piece touched at the sides with pearls.

The bride wore pearl earrings and she carried a cascade bouquet of mauve orchids and white hyacinths. A reception for a large number of guests was held in the lower auditorium of the church where roses and sweet -peas were reflected in the light of pink and white candles which spaced the supper tables. and Mrs. Nick Shingler, Lindell Beach, was attended by Eric Teschke, best man. Ushers were John, Eric and Joe Nickoli, brothers of the bride. The soloist was Miss Jeannette Gorgichuk, who sang "Wedding Prayer" and "The Love of Rev. Bruce Mateika was the officiating clergyman and Mrs.

Gus Dalmann was organist. Rev. Mateika proposed the toast to the bride at the reception in the Allison hotel, Vernon. White narcissi and ferns set the spring theme. The mother and father of the bride and those of the groom received the guests.

Serving were the bride's attendants. Those from out of town attending the wedding were Miss Richards. Vancouver; Miss Gorgichuk and Eric and Herb Teschke, Chilliwack; Miss Marilyn File, Abbotsford, and Miss Irene Briggs, Louis Creek, B.C. For going away, the bride chose a turquoise blue suit of wool styled with the new box coat shoes in navy. Her purse was navy and her hat and gloves turquoise blue.

She wore a white gardenia en corsage. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Dow, Kipp avenue, were their son Douglas and his Miss Muriel Millburn, both of Prince George. Fairfield Variety Show Clears $50 For P-T Delegate Fairfield P.TA cleared over $50 at a variety and talent show at Fairfield Island hall Wednesday nignt.

Proceeds are being used to send a Fairtield delegate, Frank Short, to the provincial Parent Teacher Federation convention being held this week in Kamloops. Annis and Ed Kelly, musical trio and baritone; Barbara Andrews, soloist; Elsie Baser Over 100 Girls Attend Good Friday Service Carman United church, Sardis, was the scene of the annual Good Friday CGIT sunrise service which more than 100 girls and their leaders from Chilliwack, Sardis, Cultus Lake, Atchelitz, Cheam and Rosedale attended. The early morning service had to be moved indoors because of rainy weather. Earlier plans were for the service to be held on the banks of the Vedder river. Worship was led by Chilliwack Girls' council president.

Norma Bell. Scripture was read by Ann Rutledge, solos were given by Naomi Bartindale and Marion Howie, and a poem was read by Melody Evans. Speaker was J. Y. Halcrow, Chilliwack Senior High school principal.

Indian Women Guests At UC Circle Meeting Members of the Wigwam Homemakers, a native Indian women's club were special guests of the United church Friendship circle when they met Wednesday evening in the church lounge.

Mrs. E. Campbell, president, was in charge of the meeting with Mrs. G. Glover and Mrs.

Olive Thornton leading the devotions. Mrs. J. R. McPhee reported the last meeting of the Chilliwack Council of Women and stated that the council is urging all church women to take a definite stand against liquor advertising on T.V.

Mrs. T. M. Mitchell, president of the Chilliwack Council, was welcomed as a guest. Following the business session, circle members and their guests entered a hat making contest, with Mrs.

A. M. Fligg and Mrs. E. Mills acting as judges.

Mrs. Pat Jimmy, who was receiving birthday honors, was winner of the contest. A reading by Mrs. Fred Toop was an appreciated number during the social hour which concluded with the serving of refreshments. Hostesses were Mrs.

G. Glover, Mrs. Ted Williams. Mrs. J.

R. McPhee, Mrs. Bert Kimmell, Mrs. E. A.

Taylor and Mrs. Sigfrid Ross. Home from provincial Normal school are Miss Irene Odell.
