Jj ACOHG JAR MARSHALL DUNLOP A member of Chilliwack Senior Recreation Centre, Marshall Arthur Dunlop, suite 302, 20 Williams Street North, died July 1 at Chilliwack General Hospital.

He was 79. Mr. Arthur was born in Orillia, Ontario and had lived in the area for 11 years. He is formerly of Rossland, where he lived for 18 years. A retired bookkeeper, he served in the infantry during World War One.

He is survived by his wife Lula; one daughter, Mrs. J. (Muriel) Sawyer, Rossland; two sons, Arthur and Jim, both of Rossland; nine grandchildren and one brother, Jim, Lumby. Funeral was held Saturday at Henderson's Funeral Chapel with Captain Ron Trickett officiating. Interment followed at Royal Canadian Legion cemetery.

A private cremation service was held with Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, Haney, in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McLeod was born in Chilliwack and lived in this area for many years. She is survived by her husband Duke; her mother, Martha Collins; one daughter, Mrs. P.

(Sharon) Watzl of Ontario; two brothers, Gordon of Chilliwack and Donald of Greenwood, B.C.; four sisters, Mrs. M. (Wynona) O'Byrne of Chilliwack, A. (Thelma) Drinkwater, Greenwood, Mrs. W.

(June) Norrish, Chilliwack and Mrs. Jeanne Pringle of Chilliwack, and two grandchildren. ROSETTA TRETHEWEY Rosetta May Trethewey, of 2174 Gurnsey Street, Victoria, died June 30 at Victoria General Hospital at age 83. A former Chilliwack resident for six years, she moved to Victoria four years ago. Prior to living in Chilliwack, she lived in Victoria and Windermere.

She is survived by her son Lloyd, Ashcroft; five daughers, Mrs. J. (Roberta) Shibley, Cran-brook, Mrs. S. (Ellen) Turner, Victoria, Mrs.

F. (Grace) Fairhurst, Victoria, Mrs. E. (Er-na) Wonnacott, Cranbrook and Mrs. A.

(Evelyn) Kinsey, Invermere; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. J. Pearce, Victoria and Mrs. Darcy Morrow, Agassiz. Her husband Ernest died in 1975.

Funeral service was held Monday at Henderson's Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. T. Horricks officiating. Interment followed in IOOF cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ed Wonnacott, Frank Turner, Jack Shibley, Frank Fairhurst, Allan Kinsey and Jim Trethewey. LAWRENCE WALTER A clerk for Canadian Pacific for 45 years, Lawrence Edgar Walter, 602 Maple Avenue, Chilliwack, died July 2 at Chilliwack General Hospital. He was 83. Mr. Walter was born in England and had lived in Chilliwack for seven years.

He is' formerly of Victoria and Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He was a past master of the Memorial Lodge, past master of Royal Arch Masonic Lodge, preceptor of preceptory and the White Shrine of Jerusalem, all of Moose Jaw. He served overseas in World War One as a member of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. He is survived by his wife Mary; three sons, Leslie, Moose Jaw, Gordon, Prince Albert, Stanley, Regina; two daughters, Mrs. H.

(Laurie) Pairnell, Chilliwack, Mrs. G. (Constance) Turner, Saskatoon; 21 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. Funeral was held Monday at St. Thomas Anglican Church with Rev.

John Barton officiating. Cremation followed. Active pallbearers were Leslie, Gordon, Stanley and Barry Walter, Hugh Parnell and Glen Turner. Honorary pallbearers were Ross Guy and Neils Sorenson. Their talk, due to start at 7:30 p.m., will be illustrated with slides. Their four daughters will also take part with a puppet show for children on the Baha'i and Mrs. Ruys and their children are passing through Chilliwack en route to an International Baha'i Conference in Anchorage, Alaska, at the end of this month. and Mrs. Ruys have taught the Baha'i faith in many parts of the world including five European countries, as well as the United States. This Friday is one of nine holy days in the Baha'i calendar, and Chilliwack Baha'is will be meeting at the home of Miss Kathleen Hamilton, Adams Road, Sardis, earlier in the day. It marks the Martyrdom of the Bab, who was executed by a firing squad 126 years ago in a crowded town square in the Persian city of Tabriz. The Bab (a Persian word meaning "door" or claimed to be the forerunner of a great religious teacher whom he described as "Him Whom God shall make manifest." 6U Tourist booth Chilliwack's tourist season is getting off to a good start with information services now available at two locations. Chilliwack and District Chamber of Commerce tourist information booth is now open at the junction of Highway 9 and Yale Road East near Rosedale. The booth is financed by a provincial labor department summer employment program grant and is staffed by four Chilliwack area young people. Vic Willms is supervising the operation with Carol Bell, Vera Meceschev and Penny Simpson. On Tuesday about 60 vehicles pulled into the booth site for information.

The booth is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. In town, tourist information services are available at the main Chamber of Commerce office, 25 Cheam Avenue. EWALD ENGELBRECHT A blacksmith and farmer, Ewald Engelbrecht, 103 Lewis.

Avenue, died July 3 at Chilliwack General Hopital at age 81. Mr. Engelbrecht was born in Shitomir, Russia, and had lived in Chilliwack for 28 years. He was a member of the German Church of God and helped to construct the First Avenue Church of God and the German Church of God in Chilliwack. He is survived by his wife Augusta four sons, Richard and Rudolph, Chilliwack, Herb and Alf, Vernon; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Natalie Bersuch; Germany; four brothers, Wilhelm, Paul, Johan and Gustaf, all of Germany.

His daughter, Gerda Gerhart, died in 1962. Funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the German Church of God with Rev. Daniel Mantie and Rev. Alfred Lange officiating.

Interment follows at IOOF cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard, Rudolph, Herb and Alf Engelbrecht, Wilhelm Peter and Andrew Priebe. PAT HEATON Pat Heaton died June 23 in Calgary. He is survived by his wife, Calgary; one son, Michael, Vancouver; one daughter, Jean, Drumheller; one grandson and his mother, Bertha Heaton, Chilliwack. ANNA FRANK A member of St.

Mary's Catholic Church, Anna Frank, of suite 124, 210 David Street, died July 3 at Chilliwack General Hopital at age 76. Mrs. Frank was born in San Pedro, Romania and came to Canada in 1962. She lived in Thunder Bay for 10 years before moving to Chilliwack in 1971. She is survived by her husband Luis; one brother, Vander Lupp, Thunder Bay, and one sister, Sabina Weineer, Romania.

Funeral was held Tuesday where a requiem mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment followed at IOOF cemetery. Pallbearers were D. Mr George Smith, John Demchuk, Jaruta, George Perisic and Michael Hojdra.
