Mary Gunn died unexpectedly December 8 in Calgary while enroute to La-combe, to visit her sister, Mrs. Jean Bullis. Rev. B. B.

Smyth officiated at the funeral service yesterday in Henderson's Funeral Chapel. Interment was in the IOOF cemetery. Mrs. Gunn was born in Scotland in 1896. A former resident of Lacombe area, she lived in Flood, B.C., for 10 years and later in Haney where she resided for the past eight years.

She was a member of Haney Senior Citizens. She is survived by one son. Homer Gunn, Fort St. John. B.C.; two grandsons, RCN at Halifax; three grandsons at home; and one sister, Mrs.

Jean Bullis of Lacombe. She was predeceased in ChiUi-wack bv her husband Hugh in 1949." B. Smyth officiated at the funeral service Saturday in Henderson's Funeral Chapel for Neil Donald MacKinnon who died December 8 in Chilliwack General Hospital. Interment was in IOOF cemetery. Pallbearers were William Pike, Albert Lang, Ben Stein, Leon Roy, Malcolm MacKinnon and Joseph Acheson. Mr.

MacKinnon was born in Paisley, in 1885 and had lived here for 17 years. He was a retired shop superintendent. He was a member of IOOF Comber Lodge No. 298, Comber, and the Calgary Rotary Club for 14 years. He is survived by his wife Jean, 27 Fourth Avenue; two daughters, Mrs.

E. (Donna I Westin, Calgary; Mrs. F. (Marina Jean) Navin, Chilliwack; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Janet Dickinson, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Mrs.

Margaret James, Graybull, Wyoming; two brothers, Ross and Bruce of Vancouver. Lou Kroll BARBER 7 East Yale MRS. MARGARET LOUISE HENLY Interment took place Monday in Ross Bay Cemetery, Victoria, for Mrs. Margaret Louise Henly, 25 Woodbine Street South, who died December 10 in Ciii.lliwack General Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs.

Henly was born in London, England, on April 3, 1881 and had lived in the district 10 years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. Elliott, Port Renfrew, B.C.; two sons, William G. Henly and Fred crick Henley, Victoria; two sisters, Mrs.

Lily Thiemer and Mrs. Martha Collins, both of 25 Woodbine Street South; one brother, David Smith, Victoria. The service was held in Hayward's Funeral Chapel, Victoria. Henderson's Funeral Home in Chilliwack was in charge of arrangements. MRS.

MINNIE MARIE HERRLING Requiem Mass was celebrated by Father James E. Fagan Saturday in St. Magdelena Catholic Church, Cheam Reserve for Mrs. Minnie Marie Herding who died December 7 as the result of an accident Interment was in Cheam Reserve. Mrs.

Herrling was born in Port Hammond in 1906 and had lived here for 34 years. Eva Carolina Monkhouse who died December 14 in MSA Hospital, Abbotsford, following a lengthy illness. Rev. Norman Calland of Abbots-ford officiated and interment was in Royal Canadian Legion cemetery, Chilliwack. Pallbearers were Lloyd Mc-Intyre, Stewart Maitland, Harry Fulton, Robert Dyble, Jack Pilling and Roddy Watt. Mrs.

Monkhouse was born in Hamlan, in 1901. She resided in Chilliwack for 25 years and for six years in Abbotsford at 15 Winson Road. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. L. A.

(Vernal Smithers. Ottawa; Mrs. W. (Lois) Trethewey, Abbotsford; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. P.

E. Miller, Armstrong; two brothers, David Jones, Enderby; Jack Jones, Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter D. Monkhouse, in 1959 MRS. VERA SMITH Mrs.

Douglas (Vera) Smith. Seattle, the former Vera Motes of Chilliwack, died unexpectedly December 5 in Seattle. Mrs. Smith was born in Texas in 1908 and moved to Chilliwack with her parents in 1910. She resided here until 1922.

She is survived by her husband Douglas; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Vashti) Fulton, Chilliwack; a daughter and two grandchildren in California. Barber leased The Progress to his son Leslie E. Barber. Lt. Col. D.

Baldwin and Cecil Hacker In 1949 L. Barber purchased the paper, publishing it unl 1962. Mr Barber suivived by his son Leslie, of Salt Spring Island; three grandchildren, and one s.sier in Wmgham. Ontario Civic dignitaries and many of the community were represented at the funeral service held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. from Chilliwack United Church.

Cremation followed. The service was conducted by Rev. R. W. Bray and a former minister of the church, Rev.

Geoffrey Glover, D.D. Pallbearers were Mayor T. T. McCammon, W. Lyle Mac-ken, Harry Hipwell.
