The billowing net skirt fell in soft folds from a moulded torso length bodice of silk jersey which featured a sweetheart neckline. A sweetheart headdress held in place her' floor length veil, and she carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. Miss Bertha Macfarlane, Miss Doreen Barker, sister of the groom, and Miss Lenore Zink as attendants wore floor length gowns with bouffant skirts. Miss Macfarlane chose pale pink brocaded sheer and carried an arm bouquet of white carnations. Miss tsarxer wore a delphinium blue frock and carried an arm bouquet of red carnations.

Miss Lenore Zink, junior bridesmaid, wore a poudre blue silk frock with insets of lace at the waist and at the neckline. Chrysanthemums and pink carnations formed her colonial bouquet. The two senior attendants wore Juliet caps and shoulder length veils to match their frocks, while the junior bridesmaid had a bandeau of orange blossom holding in place her shoulder length veil. VV. W. Theal. A gross profit of $145 was realized from the tea and turkey raffle, will be used to buy Christmas gifts for domestic and nursing staff of the hospital and for patients who otherwise would not be remembered. About 65 attended.

Fifty Kiddies At Baby Band. Christmas Party Over 50 children between three and Ave years old were guests of the Evening auxiliary, WMS, at a Baby Band Christmas party Wednesday afternoon in the United church Sunday school room. A Christmas play was enacted by auxiliary members assisted by children of the Mission Band. Refreshments and games were enjoyed by the children in the church parlors while the mothers were served tea in the Sunday school room. Mrs.

George Coombes was general convener, assisted by Mrs. E. C. McCaw. Miss Mary Anderson arranged the Christmas deco rations.

Miss Alice Morphy, Winnipeg, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. George Maurer at Cultus Lake Monday and Tuesday. Miss Morphy was accountant with the Home Supply Co. prior to going to Winnipeg a few years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. James Christie left Monday evening for Edmonton to spend the holidays with Mrs. Christie's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

J. Runzer. While they are away Mr. and Mrs. J.

Jenzen, Port Al berni, will occupy their house. Poppy Sales Reached $1155.59 Poppy sales totalled $1155.59, Mrs. Archie Smith, ex service convener, told Municipal chapter, IODE, when a meeting was held Monday afternoon in the board of trade rooms, city hall. School sales amounted to window displays, $11; wreaths, $15.25. Hope sales brought $45.

IODE chapter street sales were as follows: Seaford chapter, HMS Lion chapter, Piper Richardson, VC, chapter, Henry Tryon chapter, Maxwell McLean Stewart chapter, $37.52. Chilliwack had the most successful tag day of all British Columbia cities, including New Westminster, for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Mrs. R. Crowley, representative to a recent CNIB meeting, stated. Vancouver and Victoria donated to the drive through the Community Chest.

Mrs. F. L. Stanford, ways and means convener of the IODE, was in charge of the CNIB tag day here. Assisting were 77 aggers, 28 representing IODE chapters.

Mrs. H. D. Hipwell gave highlights of a meeting of youth services committee of the Rotary club. Two chapters have bought supporting memberships in the Agricultural Hall Athletic association.

Reports were also given by Mrs. E. C. McCaw, education secretary; Mrs. Hector MacDonald, Echoes secretary; Mrs.
