Born in Inger soll, Ontario, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Darker, she was also married there, coming west to Vancouver with her husband in 1912 and to Chilliwack in 1919. Of a naturally modest and retiring disposition, her chief interest was in her home and as a mother and wife she will ever be remembered with the most loving thoughts. But her interest was not confined here, for, as a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, the Seaford Chapter, I.O.D.E., and of the Ladies' Aid of Cooke's Church, her services were always given freely and generously.

Mrs. Partlo was most artistic and her decorative schemes used in social affairs in many circles in this town were always most attractive and admired. Her quiet, kindly nature will be greatly missed by many. The funeral service, which took place from the Henderson Undertaking Parlors, Friday afternoon, Rev. J.

McTurk officiating, was attended by members of the family and many who desired to show by their presence, sympathy with those so deeply bereaved. The floral tributes were particularly expressive. Fairs Association meeting held in Vancouver. These dates provide for a three day show. A report of the meeting given coast papers introduced the possibility of a race meet in connection with the local fair. E. H.
