There seems to be a prospect that motor cars will soon be on the streets of London in practical use. Hitherto the so calUd auto car has been liable to a heavy penalty unless preceded in the streets by a man carrying a danger flag. Today is Ash Wednesday. B. Malcolm is building an addition to his residence in the west end of the town.

Geo. H. W. Asliwell leaves in a few days for Rossland where he will conduct a general store business. Mr.

Asawell, who is extremely popular, will be much missed in Chilliwack. His place in the Silver Cornet Band will be hard to fill. Maxwell Stevenson is building a line residence on his two acre lot fronting on Westminster road. When completed Mr. Stevenson will have one of the most picturesque residences in the town.

A public meeting will be held in the Court House for the purpose of forming a company to establish a creamery here. The dyking question may also be discussed. A couple of nimrods have been shooting tame ducks in the vicinity of Sumas, and the owner is thinking of putting bells on his flock. 'THK WHITH SCAR" AT THE IMPERIAL Readers who have seen the magnificent feature films which are belay shown at the Imperial theatre each Friday and Saturday, will be glad to know that arrangements have been made to continue them for a few more weeks. This coming Friday and Saturday you will be taken away back to the Hudson's Bay country in the snowy wastes of the north, to witness a powerful drama of human passions, a battle for honor and jus tice which will grip you and hold your attention every minute of the hour and a half production. On Sat urday three distinct performances are given at 2:30, 7:30 and 9. The feature starts the evening programme at 7:30, and is repeated at 9 o'clock. Admission 15c; children 10c; box seats 25c.
