F. van Rech teren, president of the Chilliwack hospital auxiliary, reported a bank balance of $1142.54, to the hospital board Thursday. "I would like to point out," the Countess reminded the board, "that if all orders for linen had been filled, our bank balance would have been considerably smaller." During the year the auxiliary supplied the hospital with linens valued at $862.96.

Additional linen supplies were donated on visitors' day, the president reported. Early in the year the organization abandoned all small money making ventures which gave so much work and provided little in funds in return. A dance under the auspices of the auxiliary and the operation of the auxiliary dining room on the exhibition grounds at fair time netted the organization over $1000. A quilt raffle, the anniversary and Christmas cheer teas, brought in additional funds. As representative to the hospital board, the Countess stated that it meant something to the auxiliary to have met all requirements for linen and bedding in the year.

Orders of long standing came through in small lots, if they came at all. The auxiliary has been compelled to buy when and where it could. By this means acute shortages have been avoided with the exception of nursery requirements. When it became evident that lictl incorporated in school curriculums. hospital supplies would be short Nodus Tonus Met Wednesday Over twenty members of Nodus Tonus club attended the Wednesday night meeting at the home of Mr.
