Whereas it is necessary for the purpose aforesaid to raise by way of debentures the sum of J50.000.00 payable In thirty years from the date of issue, with Interest thereon payable at the rate of five per cent, per annum. And Whereas for the payment of the said debentures and Interest it will be necessary to raise and levy each year the sum of $3,500.00 of which $1000.00 Is for the principal and $2,500.00 is for Interest. Now therefore the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Chllllwack enacts as follows: 1. It shall be lawful for the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Chllllwack to raise by way of loan from any person, persons or corporation who may be willing to advance the same, on the credit of the debentures hereinbefore mentioned, a um not exceeding $50,000.00 and to disburse said sum for the purpose here inbefore recited. It shall be lawful for the Mayor to cause the required number of debentures to be made out In denominations of not less than $100. and each deben ture shall be sealed with the seal of the Corporation and signed by the Mayor and Clerk of the Corporation. 3.

The said debentures shall be payable ln thirty years from the date of issue, which date shall be not more than six months from the final passing of this By law. 4.
