Sapper Dunham Helps Runners Win Way Into British Finals A Chilliwack sapper was among Canadian army cross - country runners gaining British army finals last week. Sapper G. W. Dunham was among team members from 4 Field Squadron, Royal Canadian Engineers, representing the 2nd (British) Division of which Canada's NATO brigade forms a part. The Canadian Engineers won the 2nd Division crosscountry run earlier this year. More than 100 runners from the BAOR slogged their way through a rugged six-mile course in heavy snow and freezing rain near the fabled town of Hameln, Germany. The showing gained second place for the Canadians in the battle for the Rhine championships.
