TRETHEWEY Former resident of Kipp Avenue, Chilliwack, Ernest Edward Trethewey of 2662 Victor Street, Victoria, Vancouver Island, died February 22 in Victoria. Rev. J. T. Horricks officiated at the funeral service today in Henderson's Funeral Chapel, Chilliwack. Interment was in IOOF cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Turner, Bob Shibley, Keith Turner, James Trethewey, Lloyd Shibley and Leslie Kinsey. . Mr. Trethewey was born on December 19, 1892, in Dewdney, British Columbia, and was a lumberman. He was a member of . Columbia Masonic Lodge in Invermere, British Columbia. Mr. Trethewey is survived by his wife Rose; one son, Lloyd S. Trethewey, Salmon Arm, British Columbia; five daughters, Mrs. S. B. (Ellen) Turner, Victoria; Mrs. J. B. (Roberta) Shibley, Cranbrook; Mrs. Frank (Grace) Fairhurst, Victoria; Mrs. Ed (Erna) Wonnacott, Cranbrook, and Mrs. Alan (Evelyn) Kinsey, Invermere; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. MRS. ARMINTA NORMAN A former resident who returned three months ago to live in Chilliwack, Mrs. Arminta Norman, formerly of 1933 Robson Street, Vancouver, died February 21 in St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver. Rev. D. C. Johnstone officiated at the funeral service yesterday in Henderson's Funeral Chapel, Chilliwack. Interment was in IOOF cemetery. Pallbearers were Dave Jones, Irwin Childs, Don Jones, Bob Jones, Glen Jones and Dick Jones. Mrs. Norman was born on May 28, 1893, inCrookston, Minnesota. She was a member of Fairview Rebekah Lodge No. 49, Vancouver. Mrs. Norman was predeceased by her husband James. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lorna V. Muirhead, Vancouver; two granddaughters, one great-grandson, one great-granddaughter, three brothers, Henry E. Jones, Chilliwack; Michael E. Jones, Savona, British Columbia; Rueben H. Jones, Fort Langley; three sisters, Mrs. Howard (Amelia) Muirhead, Chilliwack; Mrs. George (Mable) Hastings, New Westminster, and Mrs. George (Eva) Stapleton, Chilliwack.
